ABOUT Mawa Elaichi Cake RECIPE

This cake has fusion flavours and ideal for tea time in rainy season.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 150 gms flour
  2. 100 gms mawa
  3. 60 gms powdered sugar
  4. 100 gms thick curd
  5. 1/2 tsp baking powder
  6. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  7. Pinch of salt
  8. 1/2 tsp green cardamon powder
  9. 70 ml oil
  10. Milk as required
  11. 3 tbsp condensed milk
  12. 1 tbsp chopped pistachios
  13. Few rose petals to garnish

Instructions

  1. Sieve maida,baking powder, baking soda, cardamon powder and salt in a bowl
  2. Sieve dry ingredients 4-5 times
  3. Now in a mixing bowl, add oil ,sugar and blend well
  4. Add curd and mawa. Blend well
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients and blend
  6. Add milk as required to prepare batter of pouring consistency
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 170 degree for 35 mins or till toothpick inserted into center comes out clean .
  8. Cool cake on wire rack
  9. slice top thin layer of the cake and drizzle milkmaid over cake .
  10. Add chopped pistachios and rose petals and serve
