Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. for poha-
  2. 1 1/2 cups soaked poha
  3. 1 tbsp oil
  4. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  5. 1/4 Tsp Asafoetida
  6. 1 bayleaf
  7. 2-3 curry leaves finely chopped
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1 green chilli chopped
  10. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  11. 1/2 tsp biryani masala
  12. 1 tsp sugar
  13. 1 tsp Lemon juice
  14. for vegetables preparation-
  15. 2 tsp oil
  16. 3 tbsp onion finely chopped
  17. 3 tbsp carrot finely chopped
  18. 3 tbsp casicum finely chopped
  19. 1 medium tomato finely chopped
  20. Salt to taste
  21. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  22. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  23. 1/2 tsp biryani masala
  24. 2 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
  25. other-
  26. 2 tbsp fried peanuts
  27. 1 onion fried/beresta
  28. 1 tbsp coriander leaves
  29. 1 tbsp Sev
  30. 1 tbsp chopped onion

Instructions

  1. for vegetable preparation-
  2. heat oil in a pan, add onion and fry untill it becomes transparent.
  3. then add carrots and cook properly on medium flame.
  4. now add capsicum, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, biryani masala and chopped tomatoes.
  5. cover with a lid and cook properly.
  6. add coriander leaves, you can sprinkle water if it gets too dry.
  7. switch off the flame and keep aside.
  8. for making poha-
  9. in a kadhai heat oil.
  10. add mustard seeds and bayleaf.
  11. whet it starts to crackle add asafoetida, curry leaves, green chilli, salt, turmeric powder, biryani masala and poha.
  12. add lemon juice and sugar, mix well for 2 minutes on low flame.
  13. assembling-
  14. take a bowl, spread a layer of poha and press with a spoon.
  15. then spread a layer of vegetables
  16. sprinkle fried onions, coriander leaves, peanuts
  17. again spread poha and press with spoon
  18. unmould this onto a plate
  19. top with chopped onions, sev, coriander leaves and serve.
