ABOUT Instant Sooji/ Rava Idli with Chana dal & peanuts chutney RECIPE

Instant rava Idli is made from sooji, curd and eno. These instant Idli has soft, light and spongy texture. You can take this at dinner or in breakfast too. If you are a foody & in diet then you will definitely try this once in a week for a change .

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Sooji 2 cups
  2. Sour Curd 2cups
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Eno 1 tsp
  5. Oil for greasing
  6. For tempering : 1 tbsp oil
  7. Pinch of hing
  8. Mustard seeds
  9. Green chillies
  10. Curry leaves 7-8
  11. Chat masala
  12. For Chana dal & peanuts chutney :
  13. 6 tbsp Chana dal
  14. 3 tbsp peanuts
  15. Fresh coconut one small piece
  16. 3-4 chillies red/green
  17. Ginger half inch
  18. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl put sooji and whisked Curd and mix them well.
  2. Check there is no lumps in the mixture.
  3. Add salt and mix well. Rest for 20mins or till the sooji absorbs moisture.
  4. Add the eno till the batter turns frothy.
  5. Grease oil on the Idli stand and put the batter in it.
  6. Now cook for 10-12 mins.
  7. Check it with the help of toothpick.
  8. For tempering : Put oil in a pan or in kadahi . Add hing, Mustard seeds, green chillies and curry leaves.
  9. Add Idli in it and fry them well . Now Sprinkle some chat masala in it. Garnish with coriander leaves if you have.
  10. For Chana dal & peanut chutney : Roast Chana dal, peanuts in a dry pan.
  11. Take a grinder add roasted Chana dal, peanuts, 3-4 red saboot chillies or green chillies, ginger and fresh coconut and grind them well.
  12. For tempering : Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan add hing, Mustard seeds, curry leaves.
  13. Pour the tempering ingredients into the grinded chutney add salt and stir well.
  14. Now serve chutney with the hot fried idlis.
