Healthy recipe for kids, kids never want to eat simple healthy food but we moms always want to make them eat healthy, here I tried to make this recipe with wheat flour and goodness of oats.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For dough
  2. 1 cup Wheat Flour
  3. 1/2 cup oats flour ( I used home made) (to make at home check it in tip section)
  4. 1 tbsp Butter
  5. 1/2 tsp red chilly powder
  6. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  7. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  8. 1/2 tsp dry mint leaves powder
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Water as needed
  11. Other ingredients :-
  12. 1 medium sized onion cut into fine pieces
  13. 2 garlic cloves crushed
  14. 1 green chilly cut into fine (optional)
  15. 1 spring curry leaves
  16. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  17. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  18. Pinch of Asafoetida
  19. Butter or ghee 1 tbsp
  20. 1/2 tsp red chilly powder
  21. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  22. 1 sachet Maggie masala
  23. Salt to taste
  24. corriender leaves for garnishing
  25. tomato sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients of dough and then add butter , mix well ,add water and make a soft dough
  2. Divide into 3 equal portions and make balls
  3. Now roll out a thick chapati and cut square pieces by making vertical and horizontal cuts, with help of sharp knife
  4. In a deep pan add sufficient water to boil
  5. Add those chapati pieces and boil them 5-7 minutes or till boil properly
  6. Strain the pieces and take out in a plate to cool slightly
  7. Now in a wok heat butter, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds to splutter then add asafoetida and curry leaves
  8. Now add garlic, onion and green chillies and saute for few seconds
  9. Add turmeric powder, chilly powder Maggie masala and salt and mix well
  10. Now add boiled chapati pieces and mix them properly to coat with masala
  11. Switch off the flame , garnish with corriender leaves , drizzle some tomato sauce and serve
