ABOUT Milk Powder Peda RECIPE

Peda is the most favorite Indian sweet. Milk peda is traditionally made with evaporated milk or with khoya, I made this recipe using very few ingredients like condensed milk and milk powder. Hope you all like this recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup milk powder
  2. 1 cup condensed milk
  3. 1/4 cup saffron
  4. 1-2 tablespoon ghee
  5. Almonds and pistachios for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Add saffron to the warm milk and set aside.
  2. Heat a pan and add condensed milk.
  3. Now add milk powder, saffron milk and mix it well.
  4. Cook on a low flame until mixture thickens(stir continuously).
  5. Continue to cook until mixture reaches a soft dough consistency.
  6. Once you get the right consistency turn off the flame.
  7. Take mixture into a plate let it cool until just lukewarm, grease mixture with a ghee and knead like a dough.
  8. Now take some mixture and roll into a small ball of desired size, flatten lightly with your thumb/finger.
  9. Garnish with almonds and pistachios.
  10. Refrigerate peda in airtight container for 2-3 days.
