ABOUT Cipollini onion hummus RECIPE

Hummus is popular middle eastern creamy dip ,made from cooked and mashed chikpeas. But i made it with little change.i add cipollini onions and believe me it is a delicuous change .sweetness of cipollini and mixture of curd and lemon made it yummilicious

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Soaked and boiled chick peas -1 +1/2 cup
  2. Tahini sauce -2 tablespoons
  3. Cipollini onion thinly sliced -3
  4. Chopped garlic-1+1/2 teaspoon
  5. lemon juice -1 teaspoon
  6. Thick curd - 2 tablespoons
  7. Olive oil - 1/3 cup + 2 tablespoons
  8. Salt -to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat two tablespoons olive oil in a pan ,add onions and cook ,stirring until browned .remove from pan
  2. Combine chick peas ,curd,lemon juice ,1/3 cup olive oil ,salt ,garlic ,tahini sauce and 2/3 of the browned onions and blend till smooth.
  3. Serve topped with remaining browned onions .
  4. I served this dip with potato chips
