ABOUT Onion moth daal pakora RECIPE

A delicious variety of the same old onion pakodas with the doze of healthy moth daal to it.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup moth daal
  2. 5 chopped onion
  3. 6 green chilli chopped
  4. 1/4 cup wheat flour
  5. 1tbsp ginger chilli paste
  6. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  7. 1 tsp sabut dhana
  8. 1tsp ajwayan [caraway seeds]
  9. Salt to taste
  10. 1tbsp hot oil
  11. 1/8 tsp hing powder [asafoetida]
  12. 1tbsp kasoori methi

Instructions

  1. Soak the moth daal in water for 2 hours.
  2. Strain and grind the dal in a mixer grinder using little water if required.
  3. The batter is ready.
  4. Add all ingredients to the batter, mix well
  5. Add chopped onion
  6. Mix well and the pakoda batter is ready.
  7. Heat ample amount of oil in a kadhai, put the batter and fry pakodas in them.
  8. Fry till golden brown, serve them hot with some chutney.
