Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Boiled potato 5-6
  2. Cashew nuts 7-8 finely chopped
  3. Raisins 8-10 finely chopped
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Kurry leaves few
  6. Green chilli 3-4 finely chopped
  7. Red chilly powder 1/4 tsp
  8. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  9. Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
  10. Fennel seeds 1/4 tsp
  11. Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  12. Coriander leaves finely chopped 2 tsp
  13. Medium sized bread slices 12
  14. Oil 2 tbsp for preparing stuffing
  15. oil for deep fry
  16. Water
  17. 1/2 cup Milk

Instructions

  1. Mash boiled potatoes first in a bowl
  2. Then take a pan heat 2 tbsp oil and add cumin seed, fennel seed, mustard seed and let it crackle.
  3. Now add curry leaves, green chillies, red chilli pwd, turmeric pwd, salt, coriander leaves and mashed potatoes in pan.
  4. Now add cashew nuts and raisins and fry the filling nicely.
  5. Turn the gas off and take out all the stuffing in a plate and let it cool.
  6. Now take a separate bowl pour a glass of water in it and add 1/4 cup milk in water.
  7. Take a slice of bread, dip it in a mixture of water and milk. Squeeze the excess of liquid from bread.
  8. Take small oval shaped ball of stuffing we prepared above and place in center of damp bread.
  9. Now gently lift the sides of bread and cover the whole stuffing with bread.
  10. Make similar bread rolls as many you want to and keep it in a plate.
  11. Heat oil in a pan for frying bread rolls on a high flame.
  12. Now gently put bread oils in oil and fry all over till bread rolls turn golden brown.
  13. Serve hot with green chutney and tomato sauce.
