ABOUT Makhmali Dahi Kebab RECIPE

Dahi kebab is one of my favourite kebabs., healthy, yummy, and smooth like Makhmal. It's called Reshmi kebab too.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup Dahi/hung curd/ Labneh
  2. 250 gm. fresh cottage cheese/paneer
  3. 1/4 cup roasted gram flour
  4. 1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 1/4 cup freshly chopped coriander
  7. 1 tbsp chopped green chilli
  8. 1 big onion finely chopped
  9. 1/ tsp black pepper powder
  10. 1/2 inch ginger grated
  11. Oil for shallow fry.
  12. For stuffing
  13. 8-10 cashew nuts chopped
  14. 4-5 almonds chopped
  15. 8-10 raisins chopped

Instructions

  1. Chopped Onion keep aside, chopped dry nuts, dry roast besan and keep it aside.
  2. In a bowl add Dahi add paneer
  3. Add chopped Onion, green chilli chopped coriander
  4. Add roasted besan
  5. Add all spices and salt
  6. In another bowl make stuffing
  7. Add chopped cashew nuts, almonds, raisins, grated ginger, chopped green chilli
  8. Now mix all ingredients of Dahi kebabs and if needed add little more roasted Besan or corn flour ..Grease palm with oil.
  9. Make kebab out of mixture fill it with dry nuts filling
  10. Cover it gently.Roll it in corn flour or bread crumbs ..it is optional.
  11. Heat a non-stick pan.add little oil.put kebabs on hot Tawa..Shallow fry it till brown in colour from both sides.
  12. Serve hot with tamarind/coriander-mint chutney or hung curd dip.
