Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Wheat flour-1 cup
  2. Semolina-1 tbsp
  3. Beetroot-1 big
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Ginger-1/2 inch
  6. Garlic-6 cloves
  7. Cumin Powder-1 tsp
  8. Black pepper-1 tsp
  9. Fennel seeds-1 tsp
  10. Oil-1 tsp and more for frying

Instructions

  1. Wash and boil the beetroot with skin.
  2. On cooling peel it and roughly chop.
  3. In a mixer, put beetroot pieces, ginger, garlic and all spices.
  4. Make a smooth puree.You can add one or two spoons of water if required.
  5. Take wheat flour and semolina in a big bowl and add this pureed beetroot paste.Also, add salt and a tsp oil.
  6. Knead a stiff dough just like normal puri dough.You will need very little water after adding the puree.
  7. Cover abd keep for 10 minutes.
  8. After 10 minutes, make small balls of dough and roll puris.
  9. Heat oil and put puris one by one.Press slightly with a slotted spoon to puff up the puris.
  10. Fry all puris similarly and serve hot with any vegetable of your choice or with pickle and curd, if you have made for breakfast.
