A semi-homemade middle eastern treat enriched with saffron and rose water.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 11/2 qt vanilla ice cream
  2. 1 tsp saffron
  3. 1 tbsp hot water
  4. 1 tbsp Rose water
  5. 1/2 cup pistachios coarsely chopped
  6. 2tbsp dried rose petals

Instructions

  1. Allow the icecream to soften at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl combine the saffron into the hit water.
  3. Once the ice cream has softened, mix in the saffron mixture, rose water and chopped pistachios.
  4. Thoroughly mix until well combined.
  5. Pour the icecream back into the original container and freeze for atleast 8hrs or until hardened.
