ABOUT Leftover Dal Cheela RECIPE

If you have any leftover dal you can use it to make tasty and crispy cheelas for breakfast or as snacks.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Leftover dal - 1 cup
  2. Rice flour - 1/2 cup
  3. Besan - 1/2 cup
  4. Sooji - 1/2 cup
  5. Green chilies - 1 or 2
  6. Onion - 1 large
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Black Pepper to taste
  9. Ghee for cooking

Instructions

  1. Chop onions and mix leftover dal and chopped chilies in it. Blend this mixture in a food processor.
  2. Add all the flours in this mixture along with salt and pepper and make a one ribbon batter.
  3. Heat a flat non stick pan and sprinkle little ghee on it. Spread the batter evenly to make a cheela. Cook from both sides.
  4. Serve with chutney or ketchup.
