Wash the daal and soak it for an hour before cooking.
Pressure cook it by adding salt and water in it till whistle and 2-3minutes.
In a plate add wheat flour gram flour, 1/4 tsp salt, 1tsp ghee, carom seeds and make dough like we do for making roti. Keep it cover for 10 -15 minutes. Apply little ghee on palm and smooth the dough using hands.
Make a round ball of the dough and prepare a large size roti then cut it into 1 inch strips.
To cook: Boil water, put dhokli and cook on high flame for 10-15 minutes.
Prepare the tempering by adding oil, cumin seeds, red chili powder and salt.
Put the lentils and cooked dhokli in the cooker and cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
Spoon dhokli in a bowl and add the tempering to it. Serve hot.
