ABOUT Kulthi mix Dal RECIPE

These beans are rich in nutrients. They contain calcium, iron vitamin A, phosphorous, protein, fiber and carbohydrate. Kulthi dal ( horse gram ) good for who suffer from Diabetes, Menstrual disturbances, Constipation, Kidney Stone, and obesity etc.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Horsegram dal- 100 gram
  2. Kidney bean ( Rajma ) - 50 gram
  3. Lobia - 50 gram
  4. Chopped Onion - 1 medium size
  5. Garlic paste - 1& 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Fined chopped Green chilies - 2
  7. Tomato paste -3 medium size
  8. Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Cumin Seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Salt - to taste
  11. Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  12. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  13. Coriander powder - 1 1/2 teaspoon
  14. Lemon juice - 3 teaspoon
  15. Ghee - 2 tablespoons
  16. Water - approx 3 glasses

Instructions

  1. Wash dal, rajma, and Lobia.
  2. Soak it for 7-8 hours.
  3. Put mix dal and 3 glass of water, salt and turmeric powder in the cooker. then cover with lid
  4. Put the cooker on high flame for 2 whistles
  5. Now put it on low flame for 45 minutes or till it cook's well.
  6. Then let cooker to cool down.
  7. For Tadka:
  8. Take a pan add ghee in it.
  9. When ghee becomes hot
  10. Add mustard seed and cumin seeds
  11. When seeds cracked
  12. Add chopped onion saute until it turns light brown
  13. Add garlic paste and green chilies
  14. Then saute for 30 - 35 seconds
  15. Take a small bowl, add 2 teaspoon water, coriander powder and red chili powder in it and make a paste
  16. Add this paste in the Tadka and stir
  17. When masala release its ghee
  18. Now add tomato paste and saute
  19. Fry masala properly
  20. Put this masala in the cooker and mix it with dal
  21. Again put cooker on high flame for 2- 3 whistles
  22. Allow the cooker to cool down
  23. Mash the dal with masher not much
  24. Add lemon juice in it.
  25. Garnish with onion and serve with roti or steamed rice.
