ABOUT Chana Jor Garam! RECIPE

Chana Jor Garam is a quick snack made with a black gram or Kala Chana. Flattened crispy Kala chana seasoned with spices, tossed with fresh veggies like onion, tomato and carrots drenched with a dash of lime.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup Kala Chana
  2. 1 nos Onion finely chopped
  3. 1 nos Tomato finely chopped
  4. 1 tsp chopped green chilies
  5. 1/2tsp red chili powder
  6. 1/2tsp roasted cumin powder
  7. 1/2tsp aamchur powder
  8. 1/4tsp Black salt
  9. 1/2tsp chaat masala
  10. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  11. Chopped Cilantro Leaves

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak Chana in enough water overnight.
  2. Drain the water and adding fresh water pressure cook the chana until soft.
  3. Press the boiled chana with a rolling pin and dry them in the oven by baking at 180℃ for 10 minutes until crispy but not dark in color.
  4. Add the dried and flattened chana to a bowl and stir in the remaining ingredients I.e onions, tomatoes, cilantro, cumin powder, chaat masala, chopped green chilies, red chili powder, amchur powder, black salt and dash of lemon juice.
  5. Toss everything together and serve.
  6. Healthy and tasty snack are ready to spice up your evenings.
