Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Small potatoes- 8 to 9 (boiled in pressure cooker with water and salt)
  2. Oil- 2 tbsp
  3. Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
  4. Coriander powder- 1 tsp
  5. Garam masala powder- a pinch
  6. Turmeric powder- a pinch
  7. Red chilly powder- 1/2 tsp
  8. Lemon juice- 1/2 lemon
  9. Salt- as per need
  10. Water- 1/2 cup
  11. Coriander leaves- for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Boiled potatoes. Peel them off and cut in halves.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a kadhai. Add mustard seeds. When it starts spluttering, then add all the spices- coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, lemon juice and salt.
  3. Cover the lid and simmer the masalas. Add water in it. When the water starts boiling and the raw smells of spices disappear, then add boiled potatoes.
  4. Mix them very well. Add salt if required.
  5. When the water dries then switch off the flame.
  6. Raiwale aaloo is ready. Serve it hot with paratha and chapatti.
