Tasty one!
First pressure cook all the chopped vegetables adding grated ginger, bay leaves, salt, turmeric, sugar and dals for one or two whistles. then keep aside
After cooling down remove lid and now prepare for seasoning
Slightly warm ghee and add panch phoran, dry red chillies, curry leaves and hing, let panch phoran to splutter well
Add directly to the cooked vegetables dal mix and cover immediately with lid for 5 mins so that the aroma of seasoning mixes well
Now remove lid add, grated coconut, chopped coriander leaves and grounded masala and mix well, cover once more for 5 mins
Now our dalma is ready to be served...It tastes best with poori/ rice topped with ghee/ slight sweet rice
