Luffa is very popular during summers in Gujarat. It's vegetable combination goes well with "Aamras." (mango juice). We eat roti, luffa veggie, aamras and steamed rice.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Luffa 750 grms.
  2. Moong dal (yellow daal) 1/2 cup
  3. Onion chopped 2
  4. Garlic crushed 1 tsp
  5. Zeera 1 tsp
  6. Asafoetida a pinch
  7. Coriander powder 1 tsp
  8. Chilli powder according to taste
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Oil 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and chop luffa in cubes.
  2. Wash moong dal well.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add garlic, saute. Than add zeera and let it splitter.
  4. Add onion, saute. Add all masala.
  5. Now add water, moong daal and luffa cubes in it.
  6. Mix well, add salt and cover the pan. Let it cook well.
  7. Serve with coriander leaves garnishing.
