ABOUT Kosambari RECIPE

kosambari is a traditional delicious, protein rich lentil salad and good for weight reduction. It is also popularly called as moong dal salad, kosumalli or hesarubele kosambari. Most of all, it is a must side dish of every festive meal or wedding feast. Moreover, I learnt this salad recipe from my mother in law. She prepares almost all kind of healthy salads with variety of lentils.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup soaked moong dal
  2. Grated carrot 1/2 cup
  3. Grated coconut 5 tsp
  4. Grated ginger 1 teaspoon
  5. Chopped cucumber 2 teaspoons
  6. Chopped green chillies 1 teaspoon
  7. Lime juice 3 teaspoons
  8. Coriander 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Soak moong dal for one hour then drain water and take it in a bowl and add salt, grated carrot.
  2. Next add cucumber pieces, grated coconut, green chillies, grated ginger, add lime juice and garnish with coriander leaves.
