Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Green moon dal 4 muthi (I take a handful)
  2. Kotmir 1 handfull
  3. Mint few sprigs
  4. Garlic 6 to 8 pods
  5. Onion 1
  6. Salt
  7. Thick curd 2 cups
  8. Butter milk
  9. Curd 2 tbsp
  10. Zeera pwdr
  11. Salt
  12. Pepper pwdr
  13. Tempering
  14. Rai 1/2 tsp
  15. Curry leaves few
  16. Red chillies dry 2 to 3
  17. Red chilli pwdr a pinch
  18. Handful of chopped kotmir
  19. Imli chutney 3 to 4 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Soak the dal over night
  2. Then in the morning take dal, kothmir(coriander), pudina, green chillies, garlic, onion and grind to a smooth paste.
  3. Do not add water
  4. Take Appe pan and make wadas with 1 to 2 drops of oil
  5. Cook both sides till golden
  6. Make thin butter milk with 2 tbsp dahi, jeera powder, salt and black pepper. Add 2 cups of water.
  7. Drop the wadas in it
  8. Take thick curd and beat well add jeera powder and salt
  9. Add the soaked wadas and mix well.
  10. FOR TEMPERING: Take a small pan add oil, rai, curry leaves, red chillies and little red chilli powder
  11. Add this to the thick curd
  12. Garnish with chopped kothmir and imli chutney.
