ABOUT Kach kola bhaja RECIPE

A perfect accompaniment to spruce up the daily rice and dal. Twice fried raw banana crispies.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 large green raw bananas
  2. Oil for shallow frying
  3. 3 cups cold water
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 1/4 teaspoon haldi powder
  6. 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
  7. Chaat masala to sprinkle before serving.

Instructions

  1. Peel the raw bananas and cut it into 1-inch chunks.
  2. Put salt, haldi powder and red chilli powder. Mix well.
  3. Heat the oil in a kadhai. Place the bananas in the oil and fry on both sides, until nearly done.
  4. Remove the fried bananas from the oil and flatten them one by one by placing a plate over the fried bananas and pressing down.
  5. Remove onto a plate.
  6. Press with a plate to flatten it.
  7. Flattened out
  8. Flatten all
  9. Fry them again for about two minutes and remove all. The crispies are ready to be served with a sprinkling of Chaat masala.
  10. Fry
  11. Serve hot
