Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Fresh waterfree curd / yogurt 3/4 kilogram
  2. Brown sugar equal amounts ( use the same cup ) or adjust as per taste
  3. Ghee 2 tablespoons
  4. Pistachios chopped for garnishing.

Instructions

  1. In a bowl , mix yogurt and sugar till brown sugar combines well .
  2. Add this yogurt sugar mixture to a heavy based wide pan.
  3. Keep stirring the content in low heat .
  4. The contents loosen as sugar melts . This is stage 1 .
  5. Keep stirring in low to medium heat but see to that you stir and clear off the sides of the pan .
  6. Continue stirring till the mixture firms up .
  7. At one stage , when the content starts sticking to the pan , add ghee .
  8. Stir till you reach Koya consistency .
  9. Garnish with pistachios.
  10. Delicious Dahi / curd / Thayir kova is ready to serve .
  11. Serve warm or chilled as desired
