Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. FOR THE KOFTAS
  2. 2 raw bananas boiled , peeled and mashed
  3. 1 large potato boiled peeled and mashed
  4. 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  5. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  6. 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  7. 4 teaspoons of besan
  8. Salt as required.
  9. Oil to deep fry the koftas
  10. To be made into a paste
  11. 1 Onion
  12. 5 cloves garlic
  13. 1 inch piece Ginger
  14. 1 large red tomato
  15. Green chillies as per taste
  16. To be powdered
  17. 1/2 teaspoon jeera
  18. 1/2 teaspoon dhania
  19. 2 choti elaichi
  20. 4 laung
  21. 1/2 inch piece of dalchini
  22. For tempering
  23. 1/2 teaspoon jeera
  24. 2 dry red chillies
  25. Water as required
  26. 1/2 teaspoon haldi
  27. Salt to taste
  28. 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
  29. Dhania patta for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Take all the ingredients for the koftas. Mix them well . Add salt to taste. Make round koftas and keep aside for frying.
  2. Make the masala paste and the dry masala powder. Keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a kadhai and deep fry the raw banana koftas.
  4. In another kadhai put two tablespoons of the hot oil and add the tempering spices.
  5. Put in the masala paste and cook for about five minutes.
  6. Add the dry powdered masala and mix well.
  7. Put in the salt , sugar and the haldi powder. Mix well and add the water.
  8. When it comes to a boil add the koftas and turn off the gas.
  9. Garnish with dhania patta and serve with roti or rice.
