Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For kofta - 2 raw bananas
  2. Salt as per your taste
  3. Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  4. Ginger 1 inch grated
  5. cornflour 1 tablespoon
  6. All purpose flour 1 tablespoon
  7. garam masala half teaspoon
  8. For gravy
  9. Onion 2 large
  10. tomatoes 2 large
  11. Ginger 1 inch
  12. Garlic 6 pods
  13. Cashew 2 tablespoons
  14. Bay Leaves 1
  15. Cloves 4
  16. Black pepper 6
  17. Cinnamon 1 stick
  18. Cardamom 2
  19. Mace 2 strands
  20. Nutmeg powder 1/4th teaspoon
  21. Corriander powder 1 teaspoon
  22. Chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  23. Cream 3 tablespoons
  24. Kasuri methi 1 tablespoon
  25. Water 1 cup
  26. Oil 3 tablespoons
  27. Oil for Deep frying
  28. salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. First of all in a pressure cooker add 2 cups of water
  2. Add turmeric powder
  3. Let it come to boil
  4. Now peel the bananas and cut into half
  5. Add them to the pressure cooker
  6. Close the lid of the pressure cooker and Cook for two whistles
  7. After 2 whistles switch off the gas and let the pressure settle down by itself.
  8. Once the pressure settles down open the cooker lid
  9. Take out the bananas and keep aside to cool down
  10. In a bowl take cornflour power
  11. Add all purpose flour
  12. Add grated ginger
  13. Add chilli powder
  14. Add garam masala
  15. Add salt
  16. Add the cooled bananas and mash it together with the other ingredients
  17. Mix well and make small sized balls of it
  18. Now take oil in a deep frying pan
  19. When oil becomes hot put the kofta balls one by one slowly into the pan
  20. Fry over medium heat till the balls become golden
  21. Drain the koftas over paper napkins
  22. Likewise fry all the koftas
  23. Now to make curry take a pan
  24. Add one cup of water to it and let it simmer
  25. Chop the onions and add to the water
  26. Chop the tomatoes and add to the onions
  27. Add ginger
  28. Add garlic
  29. Add cashew
  30. Now cover the pan and let it cook.
  31. When the onions and tomatoes become soft switch off the gas
  32. Let it cool down
  33. When the onion mix cools down take it in a blender
  34. Blend to make a fine paste
  35. Keep the paste aside
  36. Now take a pan
  37. Add oil to it
  38. When the oil becomes hot add bay leaf
  39. Add cloves
  40. Add black pepper
  41. Add cinnamon
  42. Add cardamom
  43. Add mace
  44. Now take the paste and add to the pan
  45. Cook the paste till it starts leaving the sides of the pan and oil starts oozing out
  46. Now add kasuri methi
  47. Add nutmeg powder
  48. Add 2 cups of of water and let the gravy come to a boil
  49. Once the gravy comes to boil switch the flame to slow and let the gravy simmer for sometime
  50. When the gravy reaches your desired consistency level add cream to it
  51. Mix and switch off the flame
  52. Now immediately drop the koftas into the gravy and cover the pan for 5 minutes
  53. Then serve
