Ingredients Serving: 4
For kofta - 2 raw bananas
Salt as per your taste
Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
Ginger 1 inch grated
cornflour 1 tablespoon
All purpose flour 1 tablespoon
garam masala half teaspoon
For gravy
Onion 2 large
tomatoes 2 large
Ginger 1 inch
Garlic 6 pods
Cashew 2 tablespoons
Bay Leaves 1
Cloves 4
Black pepper 6
Cinnamon 1 stick
Cardamom 2
Mace 2 strands
Nutmeg powder 1/4th teaspoon
Corriander powder 1 teaspoon
Chilli powder 1 teaspoon
Cream 3 tablespoons
Kasuri methi 1 tablespoon
Water 1 cup
Oil 3 tablespoons
Oil for Deep frying
salt as per taste
Instructions
First of all in a pressure cooker add 2 cups of water
Add turmeric powder
Let it come to boil
Now peel the bananas and cut into half
Add them to the pressure cooker
Close the lid of the pressure cooker and Cook for two whistles
After 2 whistles switch off the gas and let the pressure settle down by itself.
Once the pressure settles down open the cooker lid
Take out the bananas and keep aside to cool down
In a bowl take cornflour power
Add all purpose flour
Add grated ginger
Add chilli powder
Add garam masala
Add salt
Add the cooled bananas and mash it together with the other ingredients
Mix well and make small sized balls of it
Now take oil in a deep frying pan
When oil becomes hot put the kofta balls one by one slowly into the pan
Fry over medium heat till the balls become golden
Drain the koftas over paper napkins
Likewise fry all the koftas
Now to make curry take a pan
Add one cup of water to it and let it simmer
Chop the onions and add to the water
Chop the tomatoes and add to the onions
Add ginger
Add garlic
Add cashew
Now cover the pan and let it cook.
When the onions and tomatoes become soft switch off the gas
Let it cool down
When the onion mix cools down take it in a blender
Blend to make a fine paste
Keep the paste aside
Now take a pan
Add oil to it
When the oil becomes hot add bay leaf
Add cloves
Add black pepper
Add cinnamon
Add cardamom
Add mace
Now take the paste and add to the pan
Cook the paste till it starts leaving the sides of the pan and oil starts oozing out
Now add kasuri methi
Add nutmeg powder
Add 2 cups of of water and let the gravy come to a boil
Once the gravy comes to boil switch the flame to slow and let the gravy simmer for sometime
When the gravy reaches your desired consistency level add cream to it
Mix and switch off the flame
Now immediately drop the koftas into the gravy and cover the pan for 5 minutes
Then serve
