A delicious curry made with raw banana koftas in a spicy gravy to be served with roti or rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Kachchaa kela /raw banana - 6
  2. Besan - 2 tbsp
  3. Chopped green chilly - 2
  4. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  5. Finely chopped onion - 1
  6. Turmeric powder - 1./2 tsp
  7. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  8. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  9. Garam masala - a pinch
  10. Jeera seeds - a pinch
  11. Salt - to taste
  12. Oil - 4 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Salt - to taste Salt - to taste Wash the banana and pressure cook.
  2. .When the cooker release the whistle switch off the gas
  3. .Peel the skin of the kela/banana and mash it.
  4. . Add green chilli salt and besan and mix well.
  5. . You can make small lemon size balls.
  6. Heat oil for deep frying.
  7. Deep fry these balls until golden brown in colors
  8. .Always cook in medium flame,. drain extra oil.
  9. Heat up remaining oil put the jeera seeds to crackle.
  10. .Add onion and saute till light brown.
  11. Add ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, red chilly powder, turmeric powder and add some water n saute for 4 to 5 minute in medium flame.
  12. Add one cup of water and bring to boil
  13. Add fried banana kofta and cook for one mins.
  14. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot
