ABOUT Channa Dal Stuffed Paratha RECIPE

The dalpuri is a common stuffed paratha. Enjoyed best for breakfast along with aloo rassa.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. for the dough -
  2. 2 cups whole wheat atta or multigrain atta
  3. 2 teaspoons Ghee
  4. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  5. 1/2 teaspoon Ajwain
  6. Water to knead the dough
  7. For the stuffing -
  8. 1/2 cup Channa dal boiled and mashed
  9. 2 teaspoons oil
  10. Salt to taste
  11. 2 green chillies chopped finely
  12. Some Coriander leaves chopped
  13. 1 teaspoon sugar
  14. 1/2 teaspoon hing powder
  15. 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  16. Oil to cook the parathas

Instructions

  1. Make a soft dough with all the ingredients mentioned under dough. Cover and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a kadhai. Add the hing , green chillies and ginger paste.
  3. Now add the mashed Channa dal to the kadhai. Cook well for atleast five minutes.
  4. Remove from heat once it is dry. Add the chopped coriander leaves. Cool to enable stuffing.
  5. Make portions of the dough. Fill with enough stuffing . Seal well.
  6. Roll into round parathas and cook with oil on both sides.
  7. Serve with aloo rassa and pickle.
