ABOUT Masala chap RECIPE

These chaps are made in brown onion gravy. They are spicy and tangy in taste.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Soya Chaap (Shallow fried) 250 grams
  2. Onion 2 medium
  3. Tomato puree 4 tbsp
  4. Garlic 5 to 6 cloves
  5. Ginger 1 inch
  6. Green Chilli 4
  7. Cardamom 2
  8. Bay leave 1
  9. Whole spice 4
  10. Star aneseed 1
  11. Dhaniya powder 1 tbsp
  12. Red chilli powder kashmiri 1 tbsp
  13. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  14. Jeera powder 1/2 tsp
  15. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  16. Garam masala 1 tsp
  17. Subji masala 1 tbsp
  18. Kasuri methi 1 tsp
  19. Salt as required
  20. oil 2 tbsp
  21. Butter 2 tbsp
  22. Water 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Finely chop onion, heat a pan add oil and Shallow fry onions Till they are dark brown in colour on low to medium flame.
  2. When onions are cooked grind them into paste.
  3. Grind ginger garlic and Green Chili together
  4. Heat a pan and add 1 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp butter now add all the dry spices (khada marsala) and roast for 22nd
  5. Now add ginger garlic paste and saute for 2 minutes now add onion paste to it and saute for 3 to 4 minutes.
  6. Now add tomato puree in it and saute for 5 minutes or till it separates oil add all the spices now except garam masala.
  7. Now add the shallow fried chaap in the gravy, cover and cook for 10 minutes add butter.
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
