ABOUT Garlic Butter Cajun Spiced Prawns RECIPE

Prawns are best as appetizers for the special dinner parties. These prawns are oven fried and there's no compromise on flavor. These buttery and garlic flavored prawns are spicy, tangy, and buttery.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 250g large sized prawns
  2. 3 tbsp melted butter
  3. 1 tbsp dry red chili flakes
  4. 1 tsp garlic powder
  5. 2 cloves garlic grated fine
  6. 1 tsp dried parsley
  7. Juice of 1 lime
  8. Zest of 1 lime
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Black pepper powder to taste
  11. 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  12. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  13. 2 tbsp olive oil for basting
  14. Flavored and spicy butter for garnish---
  15. 2 tbsp melted butter
  16. 1/2 tsp dry red chili flakes
  17. 1/2 tsp dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200 Deg C. Separate the heads and cut off the legs of prawns. Devein the prawns and remove the shell off the prawns keeping the tail portion intact. Give vertical slit in the center of the prawns to open them wider.
  2. Wash the prawns and pat dry with kitchen napkin.
  3. Combine red chili flakes, garlic powder, grated garlic, lime juice, lime zest, dried parsley, Cajun seasoning, turmeric powder, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
  4. Marinate prawns in the prepared butter for 5 minutes.
  5. Arrange the prawns on a baking tray lined with ovenproof parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes and remove tray from oven. Baste the prawns with olive oil midway through baking time.
  7. Combine all ingredients mentioned under garnish.
  8. Remove the prawns to a serving plate and drizzle the flavored and spicy butter over the prawns. Serve hot.
