A very simple , bengali fish recipe to try , but it is very yummy and light for everyday meal
Lovely Bong dish!
Wash fish pieces
Marinate with turmeric powder and salt
Keep aside for 15 mins
Now fry both sides lightly
Make a paste of onion , garlic , ginger , green chilli and tomato
Heat oil in a nonstick pan
In a small bowl mix turmeric powder , cumin powder , coriander powder , chilli powder and 2 tsp water
Add this mixture to the pan
Saute for 4_5 mins
Add onion , garlic paste saute another 4_5 mins
When oil separates from the spices add spring onions , reserve some for garnishing
After 3_4 mins add 1 cup warm water
When gravy starts boiling add fish pieces
Boil for 5_6 mins in high heat
Switch off gas
Garnish with spring onions
Serve hot with rice
