A rice delight that is loaded with vegetables ,flavours with a fine spices, the Vegetable Pulao is one dish that is famous all over the world.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup chopped mixed vegetables french beans , carrot and green peas
  2. 1 cup basmati rice , soaked for 15 minutes
  3. 1 tbsp oil
  4. 1 tbsp ghee
  5. 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds (Jeera)
  6. 1 laung
  7. 1 elaichi
  8. 1 small stick dalchini
  9. 1 tejpatta
  10. 1/2 cup sliced onions
  11. 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  12. 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  13. 1 tsp green chilli paste
  14. 1 tsp biryani masala powder
  15. Salt to taste
  16. 2 Potatos

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil and ghee in a pressure cooker and add the cumin seeds, laung, elaichi, cinnamon and dalchini on a medium flame for 30 seconds
  2. Add the onions, ginger paste, garlic paste and green chilli paste on a medium flame for 1 minute
  3. Add water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 whistles
  4. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid
  5. Serve it with any Vegetable Curry or Raitha
