ABOUT Rice crackers RECIPE

A famous south indian snack having tye crispiness of rice and spices.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice - 3 cups
  2. Roasted Chana dal powder - 1 cup
  3. Curry leaves - 12
  4. Dry Red chillies - 3
  5. Hing - 1/2 tsp
  6. Garlic cloves (crushed or sliced) - 8
  7. Roasted ground nuts - 1/4th cup
  8. Whole roasted Chana dal - 1/4 th cup
  9. Butter/ghee - 3 tbsp
  10. Salt
  11. Refined oil

Instructions

  1. Soak the rice for atleast 3-4 hours.
  2. Grind the rice along with dry red chillies and salt, with little water to form a fine paste.
  3. Now add rest of the ingredients to the above paste to form a dough. If the dough is little hard, add little water.
  4. Now make small roundels of the same, and flatten then with the palms of the hand.
  5. Now deep fry them in hot oil and take them out on paper towel.
