ABOUT Mackerel fried in green masala RECIPE

A delicious appetizer made with mackerels.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 3 mackerels
  2. 1 bunch coriander leaves with stem
  3. 6-8 green chillies
  4. 2 tsp cumin seeds
  5. 3-4 garlic pods
  6. Salt
  7. 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  8. 2 tbsp lime juice or 3-4 kokum
  9. Oil for shallow frying

Instructions

  1. Cut clean fish, make slits and apply salt, lime juice and turmeric- keep aside for 15 mins
  2. Make of paste with ingredients mentioned above (coriander, garlic, chillies and cumin) also add kokum if you are using it
  3. Apply the paste to the fish and marinate for minimum 1 hour.
  4. Shallow fry till crisp
