Inspired by the yummilicious veg roll sold in a fast food near my home. Very filling and nutritious. I learnt the tikki recipe from cookingshooking.in by superchef Yaman Aggarwal.

Dry garlic chutney
Tomato ketchup (optional)
Sliced tomatoes
Sliced onions
Mayonnaise - 1/2 cup
For finishing roll:
oil
Salt - to taste
sugar - 1/4 tsp
Butter - 2 tbsp
Maida - 2 cups
For preparing roll:
Oil for frying
Garam masala - as per taste
Chaat masala - as per taste
Salt to taste
Bread crumbs - 1/2 cup
Green chillies minced - 1 or 2
Coriander leaves finely chopped - a few
Onion minced - 1 small
Carrot minced - 1 small
Potatoes - 3
For tikki:
Instructions
Boil, peel and mash potatoes. Transfer them to a mixing bowl.
Add salt and minced Vegetables. Mix well.
Now add chaat masala or garam masala as per your choice and mix well.
Add bread crumbs for binding.
Make equal sized balls and shape them into tikkis.
Roll on bread crumbs and shallow fry on a tawa on both sides till golden brown adding oil.
Tikkis are ready now.
For making roll:
Knead maida adding sugar, salt, butter and little water. Make a dough.
Make equal sized balls and roll them into thin rotis.
Heat a tawa and fry the rotis on both sides.
For finishing roll:
Take a roti. Spread mayonnaise all over the roti liberally. Place two tikkis at the center of the roti. Place onion and tomato slices. Now carefully roll the rotis and stick the ends using maida paste. Serve immediately with tomato ketchup and dry garlic chutney.
