This is my mother's recipe. We enjoyed it as children and easy to make. Hope you enjoy it as well.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Dahi /curd 250 grams
  2. Refined flour / Maida 350 grams
  3. Cooking oil - 1/2 cup
  4. Cucumber /kheera (one Large )
  5. Salt (according to taste )
  6. Kaala namak ( black salt ) According to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash cucumber and grate it. Squeeze out the excess water from the grated cucumber. Mix this with the yoghurt and kala namak [black salt]
  2. Knead a soft dough prior to the above step. Divide the dough into 2 different sized roundels [one small and the other bigger than that]. roll the roundels into puris.
  3. Now spread the curd cucumber mixture onto the larger puri, cover it with the smaller puri, crimp the ends in such a manner that they are completely sealed. Fry them immediately in hot oil, serve with some chutney on the side.
