ABOUT Oats Envelope Biryani Masala RECIPE

Oats is packed with dietary fibers and minerals such as Manganese, Thiamin, Magnesium and Phosphorous. Being very low in saturated fats, sodium and cholesterol it is verylow in calorieand helps in weight loss and maintenance of optimum health.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For oats masala;
  2. 1 cup instant oats
  3. 2 star anies
  4. Water as required
  5. Spices as required
  6. For broken oats Biryani;
  7. 1 cup broken oats
  8. Water as required or 3/4 cup
  9. few curry leaves
  10. 5-6 water chestnuts
  11. Spices as required
  12. For oats envelope;
  13. 1/2 cup oats atta
  14. 1/2 cup wheat flour
  15. 1/2 tsp baking pwd
  16. 1 tsp - sugar
  17. 1 tsp - salt
  18. 2 tsp - oil
  19. 4 tbsp - milk
  20. Cold water as required
  21. For stuffing of envelope;
  22. 1/2 cup instant oats
  23. 1 tsp oil
  24. Pinch of Asafetida
  25. 1/2 tsp jeera
  26. 1/2 Onion chopped
  27. 1 capsicum finally chopped
  28. 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  29. Salt to taste
  30. 1 tsp kashmiri mirch pwd
  31. 1/4 cup grated cheese for binding
  32. Spinach leaves
  33. 2 tsp butter

Instructions

  1. Envelope Recipe - Preheat the oven at 180 degree
  2. In a bowl add oats atta, baking pwd, salt, sugar, oil , milk and water. Knead into a soft dough and let it rest for 10 min.
  3. for stuffing- Heat some butter in a pan add asfoetida, jeera and than ginger garlic paste let it brown than add onion,and seasoning, capsicum, instant oats and water. Let it dry and switch off the gas. Add cheese and mix well.
  4. for envelope - Make a ball from the dough and roll it in a rectangle sheet ,apply butter on it. Draw 4-5 lines with the knife in the center of the sheet.
  5. Place a spinach leaf on it so that the filling does not come out, put some filling on it and apply water on the edges . Fold it like envelope . Apply butter over it and bake for 10 min at 180 degree celsius or till it gets golden brown colour.
  6. For oats Biryani In a deep pan, heat the oil,add cumin seeds, and onion fry the onions till golden brown, add ginger garlic paste, chopped tomatoes, salt, coriander powder ,and cook on low flame, add water chestnut and cook for two mins. Add broken oats and stir with light hands,add water and cook for 2-3 mins. Its texture should be like rice.
  7. For instant oats masala Heat Amul butter in a pan, add star anies and cumin seeds, saute for a min. Add chopped onion, tomato, spices. Now add the instant oats, roast for 2-3 mins , add water to make the thick gravy consistency. when it boil, switch off the flame.
  8. Presenting the dish: Place a round cookie cutter in a plate, fill it with broken oats biryani, press it slightly. Pour some instant oats gravy around this cutter, carefully remove this cookie cutter. Now place the oats atta envelope on top of biryani. Garnish with capsicum, tomato and lettuce leaves.
