Ingredients: Oats 1 cup; Carrot (finely chopped) 1/2 cup; Beans (finely chopped) 1/2 cup; Onion (chopped) 1/2; Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp; Green chili (chopped) 1; Tomato (diced) 1 (small); Coriander leaves (chopped) 2 tbsp; Turmeric powder 1/8 tsp; Red chili powder 1/4 tsp; oil 2 tbsp; Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp; Water 2 and 1/2 cups; Salt as required

ABOUT Masala Oats RECIPE

Oats being high in fiber, is considered a life saver for those on a strict diet. Presenting an interesting recipe with oats and vegetables that tastes good and is good for health too.

Ingredients Serving: 2

Oats 1 cup
Carrot (finely chopped) 1/2 cup
Beans (finely chopped) 1/2 cup
Onion (chopped) 1/2
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Green chili (chopped) 1
Tomato (diced) 1 (small)
Coriander leaves (chopped) 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1/8 tsp
Red chili powder 1/4 tsp
oil 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
Water 2 and 1/2 cups
Salt as required

Instructions

Heat oil in a pan.
Add the cumin seeds and saute for a minute.
Next add in the onion, green chili, carrots, beans and coriander leaves.
Saute for 2 minutes and then cook covered for about 5 minutes, stirring in between.
Then add the tomatoes and saute till they soften.
Add in the turmeric and red chili powders and mix.
Next add in 2 cups of water, and let it boil.
Once it boils, add the oats and cook covered for 5-8 minutes.
Add more water if it thickens too much.
Serve hot and enjoy the super delicious masala oats.
