Pomegranates are rich source of vitamine C ,antioxidents,fibre,and anti-imflamatory properties.So I decided to make an interesting dessert with pomegranate. Italian panna cotta.The contrasting color of red and white make it a festive dessert for the holidays too.The dessert also looks so cute.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Milk 200 ml
  2. Whipped cream 200 ml
  3. Sugar 2 tbsp
  4. Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  5. Gelatin 1/2 tbsp
  6. Cold water 3 tbsp
  7. Fresh pomegranate juice 1 cup
  8. Sugar for juice 2 tbsp or according to your taste.
  9. Pomegranate seeds for decoration (optional)
  10. Mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add gelatin with cold water and keep aside for 15 mins
  2. In a heavy bottom saucepan add whipped cream, milk and sugar.
  3. Place on medium heat and bring just to boil stirring constantly until sugar dissolved.
  4. Remove from heat. Add vanilla.
  5. After 5 mins add the gelatin mixture and mix well. Cool down to room temperature.
  6. Pour the mixture into individual small glasses. Put into the fridge for at least 4 hrs to set
  7. In a saucepan add pomegranate juice and sugar. Place on gas and cook until syrup like consistancy forms. Cool and put into the fridge until needed.
  8. Panna cotta will take this shape
  9. Pour the juice over the Panna cotta. Decorate with pomegranate seeds and mint leaves.
