Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 1/2cups All purpose flour (Maida)
  2. 1cup brown sugar
  3. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  4. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  5. 1 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
  6. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  7. 1cup finely grated carrots
  8. 3/4 cup water
  9. 1/2 cup melted butter or vegetable oil
  10. 2 teaspoon vanilla essence
  11. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  12. 2 teaspoon tutti-frutti(optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Mix the dry ingredients and spices until well blended.
  2. Add grated carrots. Stir until thoroughly blended.
  3. Add wet ingredients. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for about 30 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Remove from the pan. Slice when cold
