I live in Dehradun, Yesterday I saw Pahari Palak in the market. The subzi wala told me that it is tastier than the regular palak. I made palak and bathua saag. It came out very tasty. Sharing the recipe with you
Good
Clean and wash the palak and bathua. Now put this in a cooker and add garlic, green chillies, ginger, 1 cup water and pressure cook for two whistles. Let it cool down
Blend this to make a puree.
Now take a wok. Heat mustard oil. Add chopped onions. saute till golden brown.
Add chopped tomatoes. cook for a minute. Add red chilli powder, Salt, kasuri methi and roasted makki ka aata. Add Desi ghee also
Let the Masala cook on a slow flame till oil separates. Keep stirring.
Now add the puree. Cook for 5 minutes.
Serve
SERVING: 4
