Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1kg Sarso saag
  2. 250 grams bathwa saag
  3. 250 grams Palak saag
  4. 4"ginger paste
  5. one bunch of garlic peeled paste
  6. 7 green chillies chopped
  7. 4medium size tomatoe puree or chopped
  8. 2 onion finely chopped
  9. 200 gram Desi ghee
  10. 100 gram white butter
  11. 2 tablespoon of Makki flour(ka aatta)
  12. one and half teaspoon of salt
  13. one teaspoon of red chilli powder
  14. 1/4 teaspoon of Garam-Masala
  15. 1/4 tsp. of Heeng

Instructions

  1. 1-First of all cut and wash saag under running water 5-6 times properly and put it in a strainer.
  2. 2-Now keep pressure cooker on high flame gas and put all chopped Saag in it with salt and little water close lid and wait for 5-7 whistles.
  3. 3-In the mean time keep deep pan or kadhai on gas pour ghee when it becomes hot then put Heeng in it then onion and ginger- garlic paste.
  4. 4-Make puree of tomatoes and green chillies in grinder and pour it in pan when onion become red with all remaining spices.
  5. 5-Then grind that boiled Saag in the grinder and put it in the same pan and wait until it leaves ghee from all the sides.
  6. 6-Now take a serving bowl and put that Saag in it and serve it with white butter and makki ki roti or plain roti or Paratha.
