There are only two things that describe this melt-in-mouth naan. One is the lovely texture and the other the goodness of greens.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. All purpose flour 2 cups
  2. Salt 1 tsp
  3. Warm milk 1/2 cup
  4. Milk powder 1/4 cup
  5. Sugar 1 tsp
  6. Dry yeast powder 2 tsp
  7. Olive oil 1 tbsp
  8. Fenugreek leaves (methi leaves) 1/2 cup chopped
  9. Coriander leaves chopped a fistful
  10. Garlic mince 1 tsp
  11. Sesame seeds and black seeds for sprinkling on top
  12. Butter 2 tbsp for spreading on the naan just before baking

Instructions

  1. Mix the sugar and yeast in the warm milk and leave it aside to proof.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients in the flour and mix well.
  3. Next add the yeast.
  4. Make a smooth dough out of it and keep it well covered in a warm place.
  5. After 2 hours, punch down the dough to release the excess air and divide it into 8 equal parts.
  6. Roll them semi thick, either round or oval.
  7. Brush them all with butter and sprinkle the sesame seeds or the black seeds or both on top.
  8. Keep them all aside for the second proofing. This is most important step.
  9. Bake them in a preheated oven on 180 degrees Celsius for about 15 mins or make them on an inverted kadai or pan on low to medium flame.
