Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. oil 2 teaspoons
  2. Urad dal 2 teaspoons
  3. Dry red chillies 3
  4. Curry leaves 1 cup tightly packed
  5. Tomatoes 2
  6. Tamarind (gooseberry size)
  7. Coconut 2 tablespoons
  8. Salt
  9. Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Wash curry leaves, drain and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan add urad dal and wait for it to become golden brown. add dry red chillies.
  3. Add tomatoes saute and add curry leaves saute for 3 minutes.
  4. Add salt and tamarind. Cool it and grind to a smooth paste.
  5. Add tempering and serve it with hot idlis and dosa.
