ABOUT Green Gram Dosa /Pesarattu RECIPE

A popular dosa from Andhra Pradesh. You can soak the ingredients overnight and in the morning you can prepare a healthy dosa quickly.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Moong dal with skin/Green gram dal - 2 cups
  2. Dosa rice - 1/2 cup
  3. Green chillies - 1 or 2
  4. Shallots - 6 to 8, chopped
  5. Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup, chopped
  6. Ginger - 1/2 inch
  7. Refined Oil - 4 to 5 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Clean moong dal and rice, soak them separately for at least 4 to 5 hours.
  2. Now drain the water and take rice, dal, shallots, ginger, coriander leaves and green chillies in a grinder and make a smooth paste.
  3. Add 1/2 cup (or little more) water to the batter to get the right consistency.
  4. Now heat the pan and add a ladle full of batter and rotate in circular movement before it dries up. Cook on high flame.
  5. Add little oil from top, after sometime the edges will come up, this time flip the other side and cook adding little oil.
  6. Serve with chutney
