ABOUT Tawa Vegetable Fried Rice / Desi Fried Rice RECIPE

Almost like Tawa pulao, this rice calls for quick tossing and sauteeing, trust me, if you prepare this tawa fried rice, it will become everyone's favourite at home. Don't forget to give a try, if you want to dish out a simple and satisfying meal to please everyone at home and to pack in lunchbox.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 3 cups Mixed vegetables (chopped)
  2. 1 Onion (chopped)
  3. 2 Tomatoes (chopped)
  4. 1tsp ginger garlic paste
  5. 1/2tsp Red chilly powder
  6. 3cups Cooked basmati rice
  7. 1/4tsp Turmeric powder
  8. 1tbsp Pav Bhaji powder
  9. oil
  10. Salt
  11. few curry leaves
  12. To roast and grind -
  13. 1 tbsp Coriander seeds
  14. 1tsp Cumin seeds

Instructions

  1. Dry roast the coriander seeds and cumin seeds and grind .
  2. Heat enough oil in a large kadai, fry the chopped onions,ginger garlic paste and saute, until the onions turns translucent.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes immediately ,cook until it turns mushy.
  4. Now add the vegetables along with red chilly powder, pav bhaji powder, turmeric powder, cook for few minutes. Simmer for a few minutes until the vegetables get cooked.
  5. Immediately add the cooked rice, coriander cumin powder and toss gently until everything gets mixed.
  6. Enjoy warm with any side dish or raita.
