Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1cup rice
  2. Water 2 cup
  3. Salt according to taste
  4. For curry powder-
  5. Curry leaves - 1 cup
  6. Channa Dal - 2 tbsp
  7. Toor dal - 2 tbsp
  8. Coriander seeds- 1tbsp
  9. Black Pepper - 1 tsp
  10. Red Chili - 3
  11. Oil - 1 tsp
  12. Salt to taste
  13. for tempering -
  14. Oil/ghee 2tbsp
  15. Mustard seeds 1tsp
  16. CINNAMON STICK
  17. Some peanuts/cashews
  18. Red and green chilies

Instructions

  1. In a pressure cooker Add rice and water.
  2. Cook on medium flame only for 1 whistle. Let it cool
  3. In a pan add oil and dry roast all ingredients mention in curry powder .
  4. Add curry leaves and saute it for 3 to 4 minutes
  5. Cool it and grind it to a coarse powder.
  6. In another pan heat oil on medium flame.
  7. Add mustard seeds.
  8. Add small cinnamon stick When it starts crackling, add roasted peanut/cashew.
  9. At last mix curry powder and tempering with rice.
  10. Add red chilli and green chilli
