ABOUT LOTUS STEM DRY MANCHURIAN RECIPE

Non fried manchurian, tasty and healthy.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For the manchurian balls
  2. half a piece of lotus stem
  3. half grated carrot
  4. 1 teaspoon chopped green chillies
  5. 2 tablespoon finely chopped french beans
  6. salt to taste
  7. some oil for brushing the balls
  8. 2 tablespoon cornflour
  9. For the Gravy
  10. 1 tablespoon oil
  11. 1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
  12. 2 tablespoon finely chopped onion
  13. 1 tablespoon tomato chilly sauce
  14. few drops of soya sauce
  15. pinch of salt
  16. 1 tablespoon cornflour slurry
  17. water as required

Instructions

  1. Boil the lotus stem after washing it properly.
  2. Then peel it and grate it.
  3. In a mixing bowl put together carrot, lotus stem, beans, green chillies, salt and cornflour, mix nicely and make equal size balls from the mixture.
  4. In the meantime heat appe pan on low heat.
  5. Now place the balls in the appe pan sections.
  6. Brush the balls with little oil, cook them, by turning them at regular intervals.
  7. When it becomes little brown and completely cooked, then switch off the gas.
  8. For the gravy
  9. Heat oil in a pan and put garlic, saute, then add onion, cook for a minute.
  10. Then add tomato sauce, soy sauce, salt and little water, mix nicely, then add the balls and cornflour slurry. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring continuously.
  11. The manchurian is ready to serve.
