ABOUT Honey Chilli Lotus Stem RECIPE

This dish is a quick and scrumptious Chinese snack. Lotus stem is a good and healthy substitute of potato. Equally loved by all.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 250 gram lotus stem
  2. 2 tablespoon cornflour
  3. 1 tablespoon soya sauce
  4. 1 teaspoon oi green chilli sauce
  5. 1 tablespoon hot and sweet tomato chilli sauce
  6. 1 teaspoon vinegar
  7. 1 teaspoon tomato ketchup
  8. salt and pepper to taste
  9. 1 tablespoon white sesame seeds (Til)
  10. oil for frying
  11. 2 teaspoon honey

Instructions

  1. Take lotus stem and wash it properly.
  2. Cut the lotus stem in thin slices.
  3. Add cornflour and salt to it.
  4. Mix it thoroughly.
  5. Heat the oil and deep fry all the slices of lotus stem.
  6. Take a big wok.
  7. Put the fried slices of lotus stem into the wok followed by all the sauces.
  8. Add salt pepper and white sesame seeds.
  9. After that add honey and switch off the gas.
  10. Serve hot.
