ABOUT Mexican Bread Rolls RECIPE

Bread roll filled with cheese, corn and capsicum.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Bread slices 8
  2. Butter 2 tbsp
  3. Plain flour 2 tbsp
  4. Milk 1 cup
  5. Boiled corns 1/4 cup
  6. Capsicum 1/2 cup
  7. Cheese 1/4 cup
  8. Salt 1/2 tsp
  9. Red chilli flakes 1 tsp
  10. Oil to fry

Instructions

  1. Cut the sides of the breads and keep it aside.
  2. Heat butter, add in the plain flour and cook it for a minute. Pour in milk and whisk continuously to make a smooth texture.
  3. Add in the capsicum, boiled corns and cook till the milk is reduced and the filling is thickened. Then add in the cheese and paprika, mix it well and turn off the gas.
  4. Rinse the bread slices in a little water. Then press the bread slices, drain the extra water, put in the filling and fold.
  5. Deep fry them in hot oil on a high flame.
  6. Serve them hot with sauce.
