Oats moong dal barfi is a very delicious and sweet recipe. It's an instant recipe of moong dal barfi. The goodness of oats makes this recipe even more healthier.
First wash the moong dal and drain all the water from it. Take a pan and dry roast the moong dal until it becomes brown in color and a nice aroma develops.
When it's completely cooled, put it in a grinder jar and grind it well. Keep this powdered moong dal aside.
Meanwhile in a pot, add sugar and water to heat together and make a one string consistency syrup.
In a pan, add ghee/clarified butter. Once the ghee is hot, add the moong dal powder and roasted oats powder. Stir it continuously.
Cook until it becomes brown in color. (This will take 5 - 7 minutes.) Then add cardamom powder to this mixture and cook until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan. Turn off the gas.
Pour this mixtur into a greased thali or tin. Garnish it with pistachio powder and roasted oats. Let it cool completely, then cut into desired shapes.
Instant moong dal barfi is ready.
