Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. kheel 2 cups
  2. Onion 2
  3. Boiled potatoes 2
  4. Capsicum 1
  5. oil 2 tbsp
  6. Curry leaves as required
  7. Mustard seed 1 tsp
  8. Salt 1 tsp
  9. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  10. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  11. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Pick out husk from kheel.
  2. Wash kheel and leave in a strainer for 10 minutes.
  3. Slice onions. Chop boiled potatoes and capsicum.
  4. Heat a wok. Add oil.
  5. Add mustard seeds. When seeds start splutter add curry leaves.
  6. Add sliced onions and saute till light pink.
  7. Add boiled potatoes and stir fry for 2 minutes.
  8. Add capsicum and all spices and seasoning. Mix.
  9. Add strained kheel. Mix well. Cover it.
  10. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.
  11. Yummy delicious kheel upma is ready to enjoy.
